Portraits in Oil by Mary Reilly

Mary will be happy to answer your questions and assist you in starting the process of having a portrait created.
Oil Painting Instruction
Classes meet 1.5 hours a week for six weeks. At the end of each class, there is an optional additional 1/2 hour consisting of review time, and a mini-lesson.
Class instruction is open to ages 14 thru adult, and beginner through advance. Each student works on their own painting at their own pace, and receives individualized attention and instruction.
- The cost is $165 for a 6 week session.
- Supplies are additional and purchased by the student.
- A supply list will be provided upon signing up for class.

Open Studio
Artists, take time for yourself and come paint!
Open Studio provides artists with an opportunity to come paint independently at one of our easels.
- The fee is $15 for each visit.
- A card can be purchased for $60 for four visits and you will receive a fifth visit for free.
- Currently available most Fridays and Saturdays 1:00 - 5:00
- Easels are available on a first come, first serve basis. Artists can sign-up in advance to reserve an easel.
A Little History
Founded in 1991 by Mary Reilly, Creative Brush Studio moved to Historic Downtown Manassas five years later, and in November 2017 moved to its current location at 8951 Center Street.
Painting since 1974, Mary is an accomplished artist who enjoys painting a variety of subjects, but her first love is portraits in oil of people, pets, and wildlife. Portraits by Mary are in many public and private collections, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims in Washington D.C., the University of Virginia, and onboard the USS Gravely (DDG 107). Mary was commissioned by the City of Manassas to paint the portraits of Mayor Michelle Davis-Younger and former Mayor Hal Parrish for Manassas City Hall.
We invite you to visit Creative Brush, meet the artists, and enjoy the artwork. Also available is a selection of notecards and other artistic gift items including hand-carved boxes by local artisans.
